Good service and good food. A little on the expensive side. Only suggestions I have is lower the price of cheese dip. $6 is a little much. Also, charging tables for additional basket of chips and salsa is silly. Especially when you have more people in your party and start with the same amount of chips you would have for less.
Clean, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Wasn't busy at lunch on a Monday.
Great food and service. Will definitely be making return trips.
Delicious and the staff is fantastic!
This place is wonderful! They recently went under new management, and I can easily say I have no complaints about this place. Fast, accurate service, delicious food! It's in an old church, and I think they missed out by not calling this place taco temple or chalupa chaple.
I would not eat here again. the food was ok, but there were kids that were apparently related to the manager or owner that were RUNNING and SCREAMING at the top of their lungs. playing hide and seek around people's tables. The screaming was so high pitched and loud that everyone around us closed their eyes every time they screamed, including us. The bill came and it was for 35.00 and then our CC was run for 43+ That was fixed, but when speaking to the waitress about the screaming she mentioned that she tried talking to the manager and he just shrugged. Worst dining experience I think I had my entire life. And that is bad. Even went live on Facebook to share our experience while it happened. IF this manager wants to continue business, he should be sure that children are kept under control.
Cheerful interior w big fireplace....nice on those Dreary, chill Fall days in Ohio.Generous portions of basic nachos ($7). Decent margaritas. Nice way to spend an afternoon 4 stars only because cannot judge entreés...didn't get anyCon: like all Mexican restaurants I've ever been to they bring a basket of chips to the table. THE 1ST BASKET IS FREE, YOU PAY FOR ANY MORE. What Mexican restaurant does that??!!
Great food and the selection is authentic and there are a ton of great options. Juan the owner is a genuine good guy who runs a wonderful restaurant. The rest of the staff is friendly and attentive. Would recommend!
My shrimp enchilada only had two shrimp, therefore two stars. Others in my party agreed about the food. Great open place to have a gathering, but food was okay, cocktails were great. My suggestion is free chips with drinks and happy hour will be great.
Great food and staff..... clean and nice looking.
The service is always above average in the food is consistent and authentic... The authenticity comment comes from a gringos perspective. However, I have eaten enough Mexican food to have fed and army in the war of 1812. I do not take my liking Mexican food lightly. This place is well worth the trip!
We had the vegetarian fajitas and they were excellent. Tons of veges, great flavor, the refried beans are the BEST in Columbus. Great news reasonable price and excellent service. Cold Dos Equis!
Waited 10 minutes to be seated. The place only had 3 other customers in it. Once order was placed we waited another 35 minutes just tp receive our appetizer. The food looked pretty good once we got it, but the taste was mediocre at best. Don't waste your time and money.
The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing! I recommend the shredded chicken chimichangas!
The food here is OK Mexican food but come for the drink specials!
Wonderful atmosphere...great food, drinks and service. It's a beautifully remodeled church....quite unique... we'll be back!
Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Excellent drink selections. The food was hot and delicious.
Good food. Good margaritas. Service was quick and the waiter was very friendly.
Under new management. The food is so fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back
I've been here 3 times and every time I go the service is helpful, prompt, and excellent. There is a taller, broad shouldered waiter that puts his heart and soul into helping people. I was with a really big dinner party and my 9 month old was melting down. This waiter - I think his name was Daniel? Took care of my food, got it bagged and handled my check while I packed up my screaming child so we could leave. Damn good service! Will be back!
We've eaten here a few times and the food has always been outstanding! The alcoholic drinks are AMAZING. The restaurant isn't perfect, though. When arriving today the right doors were locked which was strange. I had to bring it to their attention at 6pm well after they had opened. The staff can be absent at times (they do not have a dedicated hostess and rely on servers to welcome and seat customers). Our server was on top of things and worked hard to make us happy. The background music was ghetto Mexican rap and a bit too loud. In my opinion, inappropriate for this type of atmosphere.Overall, I give it 4 stars and will return anytime we are in the area.
The food is good and the portions are large.
Decent food, terrible service. Hope you're not in a hurry because they certainly are not.
Margarita happy hourWoohoo
This is a great place! Great food Great drink specials and great atmosphere!! One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to!!!
Had the Herradura steak covered with shrimp, mushrooms and cheese. It was one of the most flavorful and properly prepared steak that I have had in a long time. Wait staff was very attentive and entertaining. Definitely will be back.
excellent place, nice , very good attention and very tasty food ... ohio's best ceviche is prepared there
I love the actual building. It's very large and open inside, and the light fixtures are really cool. Very nice atmosphere, consistently great customer service, and delicious food. 😁
Really good food, polite service, and the first Mexican restaurant that didn’t over cook my steak!
Very creepy staff and atmosphere. The food was extremely salty. Not to mention it was overpriced. Two adults and one child cost over $60 for standard meals and drinks. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will not be returning
The food and service was better than other Mexican restaurants. Nice patio for a cool afternoon
Restaurant name change not the only change to the old Tio’s. Completely new menu and the food is amazing! I had Juan’s special and my wife and I both agree that this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city! Excited to make my way through the rest of the menu. Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.
Very good chorizo chimichangas, love the cheese sauce, probably should serve this with the chips.
This place was decent until the last 2 months. Now the staff is slow, makes a bunch of mistakes, the food has no flavor, and there was hair and broken porcelain pieces in 3 of the 5 meals we ordered today. After finding the porcelain and 2 hairs (on different plates), we lost our appetites and asked for the check after telling the staff what happened. They STILL CHARGED US FOR THE FOUNTAIN DRINKS! Obviously they don't want our business, so we'll never be back. And we were going almost weekly before today.
Nice place to eat. Good menu choices some unique dishes. If you want to Relax with a good sip of Margarita this is a good place.
Good kids meals. My daughter got a cheeseburger and fries. The fries were delicious, which took me by surprise. The cheeseburger was also good and a huge portion for her . They even grilled the bun perfectly. Great attratten to detail for a kids meal. Will return.
Food and service consistently excellent !
My family really enjoyed this place. The bench seats we had were huge! Finally enough room for a family. The service was very friendly and prompt. The food was good as well. We will go back.
Wish that I could post a positive review. We sat at the bar and were told that she would be with us in a few minutes, fifteen minutes later our server took our drink order. Our 'top shelf' margaritas were $15.00 each and not what the menu description said. Our server never came back to take our food order or inquire if we were happy with our beverages. We got up to leave and stood at the hostess stand to pay our bill. Our server came up complaining that she was the only employee working the floor. We said that we could see that she was overwhelmed and offered some suggestions for improved customer service. Hope they get it together.
This place is amazing! Juan runs the restaurant now and does a great job. The food is amazing. We recommend Juan’s Special for dinner and our favorite drink is the Herradura Margarita.
I guess I won't be ordering from them anymore. First time I order the lunch Fajita I was charged for mushrooms and didn't get it. This time I order the lunch Fajita on my 30 min LUNCH only to get back to work and I do not have my lettuce, pico or sour cream that it comes with as stated on their menu. So disappointed the only thing they can get right is the Cheese Dip. I'm sorry but 50% off my next meal is not okay with me for the fact that now I am at work and can not enjoy the lunch I paid $24 for. Who wants to eat a fajita without the necessary paired items. Sorry you've lost a customer. I will not give ya'll a third time to screw up my order. Should've kept the tip in my pocket. Smh
One of our favorite places to go for a night out! I've never seen it super busy but the food is good and the servers are attentive and nice. Good family place, good atmosphere.
I loved the food! (I included a pic of mine and my husband's meals)Great chicken with both meals! Great pico de gallo, and salsa with warm, fresh chips too! Nice overall look with very interesting interiors (included pics) spacious with excellent natural lighting too! Would've been five stars but the service was just "ok", we did get our food in record time but then it seemed like the waitress forgot about us since we had to let another waiter know we needed refills and the same when we were ready for our check too. Overall, still was a good experience, would definitely go again, maybe was just a fluke. The food was so good that it was worth the little extra time waiting on drinks and the check!
Tio’s has rebranded as La Herradura. They have a new menu that features many favorites from the former menu, and has added some outstanding new dishes that are simply delectable. Daniel and Martin mix up the best margaritas in Ohio! La Herradura has all of the necessary components of a fantastic Mexican restaurant… A collaboration of authentic and creative dishes, margaritas, a first-rate staff and location. Martin and Juan have teamed to make La Herradura the best Mexican restaurant in Columbus... hands down!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere!
Enjoy a cantarito!! Food is good.
Great food! Wonderful drinks! The waitstaff was a bit pushy to have us order, but after that, we were left alone. You get 3 small tortillas with the fajitas which weren't enough, but for an additional $1.50, you get three more small tortillas. The atmosphere is lively with the music and all.
Excellent service. The menu is yummy on all parts. Yum, yum.
Great food! Great people!
Went here for Cinco de Mayo. Food was amazing as well as the drinks. Presentation was EVERYTHING!
